On May 9, Stereo Plaza will host the second MMA event by BFL PRO. In the main event of the evening, Ukrainian Andrii Barkar will face off against Moroccan Said El Oussaidi.
The event's card will be rounded out by three more professional MMA bouts. In the heavyweight division, Frenchman Rony Bouzy will meet Ukrainian Vadym Shabadash.
For Rony, this will be a replacement opponent, as Czech fighter Vladimír Hájek suffered an injury in his training camp.
Shabadash is stepping in on short notice just 5 days before the fight. The 29-year-old Shabadash is returning to the cage for the first time since 2021, holding a 9-7 record and a three-fight losing streak. In addition, he is significantly changing his weight class. Having fought his last bout in 2021 at middleweight, Vadym is stepping up to face Buzi in the heavyweight division. Among his past accolades is a 2017 victory over former UFC fighter Ihor Potieria, back when "The Duelist" was making only his sixth professional career appearance.
The Frenchman will be a valuable addition to the BFL PRO league, bringing experience from the top-tier ARES promotion. He enters the fight with a 5-4 record. In his last bout, he defeated Cameroonian Derick Sokoudjou via third-round submission at Ares FC 34.
The next bout on the card will be a welterweight matchup. Andrii Pashniuk holds a 2-0 record in professional MMA and boasts an extensive amateur background, which includes winning the Youth World Championship. His opponent will be Ahmad Khammur — a Ukrainian with Syrian roots who is making his MMA debut at BFL PRO 2, broadcasting live on Kyivstar TV.
Another welterweight clash will feature Andrii Sofronii and Mykola Birko. With vast experience in the amateur ranks, Sofronii is transitioning to professional MMA and taking on a challenge in the form of Birko. Audiences might recognize Mykola from the joint BFL PRO and HAZARD MMA event in Ivano-Frankivsk, where he suffered a first-round TKO loss.
Finally, there is one more bout in the lightweight division. This is the most popular weight class in BFL, home to the league's biggest names: Curelaru, Fedonov, Huliaiev, and others. This time, the undefeated Pavlo Sliusar (1-0) will face Anton Komarevtsev, who holds a record of 3-2.
